Systems Engineer - Level 3

Tasks may include assisting in the development and maintenance of requirements documentation, creating or updating interface control documents (ICDs), and contributing to system modeling and simulation activities to assess performance. The system engineer may also participate in design reviews, help track technical issues, and support test efforts such as test setup, test execution, and pre-test/post-test analysis. Additionally, the system engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment across subsystems, could assist in identifying potential risks, and will help ensure the system meets program specifications and milestones.

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of professional experience or Master’s Degree with 3 years of professional experience.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance is required to start.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to work onsite is required.
• Ability to travel, when needed, is required., * A strong experienced-based and academic foundation in Systems Engineering fundamentals.
• Demonstrated experience in requirements decomposition, validation and verification.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical personnel.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
