Job description

We’re recruiting exclusively for a Junior Data Engineer to join a growing organisation investing heavily in its cloud-based data platform. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career in data engineering, working with modern Azure technologies and large-scale business data.

You’ll work alongside experienced data and BI professionals to develop and maintain data pipelines, integrate data from a variety of systems, and help deliver trusted, high-quality data for reporting and business decision-making. The role offers exposure to modern data engineering practices, cloud technologies, data modelling, and platform development, with plenty of opportunities for learning and progression. Key Responsibilities

Build and support ETL/ELT data pipelines using modern cloud technologies.
Assist with integrating and transforming data from multiple business systems.
Help maintain a scalable, secure, and reliable data platform.
Develop data quality checks, monitoring, and automated testing processes.
Work closely with BI and business teams to ensure data is accurate and accessible.
Document data processes, transformations, and technical solutions.
Contribute to the ongoing development of data architecture and best practices.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related subject, or equivalent commercial experience.
Good SQL skills and experience with Python or another programming language.
Understanding of databases, data modelling, and ETL/ELT concepts.
Interest in cloud data technologies and modern data platforms.
Exposure to Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Data Factory, or similar technologies would be advantageous.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
