Junior Data Scientist

As Customer Excellence Analyst, you know the secrets of turning complex data into understandable insights.

You will become part of a team that combines model monitoring, customer excellence and business impact analysis. You will help monitor the core models used within the credit risk domain (including IRB, IFRS9, EW models), perform analyses, improve data quality and support decision-making across the organisation. At the same time, you will build relationships with internal stakeholders and learn how technical insights translate into business value.

You will work alongside experienced colleagues with both technical and business backgrounds, giving you the opportunity to learn from multiple perspectives and develop your own expertise.

As part of this role, you will join a team that focuses on customer excellence, model monitoring and business impact analysis. Alongside your work, you will participate in the Rabobank Data Analytics Early Career Program and develop both technical and personal skills.

In short

• Monitor and analyse model performance using statistical tests and data-driven insights.
• Provide capital impact and business impact analyses for different business initiatives through model lifecycle.
• Dive into large datasets, assess data quality and translate findings into practical recommendations., You will work on your career by helping teams understand, monitor and improve data-driven models that support important business decisions. You will collaborate with colleagues from different backgrounds, combine technical analysis with stakeholder interaction, and learn how a large international bank operates. After completing the programme, you will have built a strong foundation in analytics, business impact assessment and stakeholder management.

• A Masters’ degree and hands on experience with coding, such as Python, SQL or similar programming languages.
• Experience working with data analysis tools or platforms such as Databricks.
• Affinity with analytics, statistical testing and model monitoring.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain findings clearly.
• Curious and eager to learn in a fast changing environment.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and ownership mentality.

• Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 3,516 and EUR 5,021 (scale 07) for a 36-hour work week.

• Development budget: EUR 1,400 development budget per year for your growth and development.
