Greenpeace International (GPI) is seeking a Facilities Help Desk Coordinator to be the welcoming face and efficient hub of our Amsterdam office. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations, providing top-notch support, and creating a professional and inclusive environment for staff, visitors, and global supporters. If you have a professional, pleasant and inclusive attitude and are ready to be the first point of contact for a global campaigning network, this is your chance to make an impact., * Provide professional facility and reception related support and information to GPI staff, visitors, suppliers and supporters, both face-to-face and via various communication channels.
- Serve as the first point of contact for GPI staff, guests, suppliers, supporters and the press.
- Coordinate all incoming requests, handling some directly and directing others to the correct department (like other Facilities colleagues, IT or P&C).
- Answer incoming telephone calls and in a professional manner.
- Oversee incoming and outgoing mail (paper and scanned), faxes (yes we still receive faxes) and international courier services.
- Provide first line of support for travel and Amsterdam hotel-related questions and requests, booking procedures and maintaining user accounts in travel databases.
- Act as the first line of screening for guests and visitors, administering office access cards, and being a trained first aid responder for general and front office-related emergencies.

Remember no one has every skill or experience needed for this role and you’ll have the opportunity to learn a lot from the team. We believe someone who has a few of these is well suited to exceed in this role:
- Proven relevant work experience in an international environment.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Dutch.
- Effective communicator: able to convey your message thoroughly and be receptive and responsive to others’ input.
- Experience with working with JEDIS principles (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Safety).
- Ability to maintain a pleasant, stable professional attitude whilst under pressure.
- Computer literacy, including the ability to use Google office systems, user databases, Facility Management software/ticketing systems and travel booking systems.
- Current EHBO (Fire & Safety training) qualification (or the willingness to obtain it, as it is renewable annually).
- A good understanding and basic historical knowledge of the organisation, coupled with environmental and social awareness.
- Demonstrable support for and belief in the Greenpeace network core aims and values., Addressing the key criteria is an important part of your application. We will be looking for evidence that demonstrates your skills and experience in these areas. Use examples where possible to draw attention to experience, knowledge, achievements and skills gained in past employment or voluntary/leisure activities, provided they are relevant to the post.
Benefits & conditions
Part time, 24 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) - until end of 2026, with a possibility of extension
Location: Amsterdam. For this role we can only accept candidates that have a Dutch social security number (BSN), or can obtain it at short notice. We encourage applications from candidates from various backgrounds.
Salary range: The approximate gross salary for this role will be around € 35,285.82 per annum (including 8.33% holiday pay) based on full-time employment.
