Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Software Engineer to design, build, and scale solutions within the ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) platform. In this role, you will lead complex technical initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver secure, scalable applications that drive enterprise impact. What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow Vulnerability Response solutions using scripting and platform capabilities
  • Lead large-scale, complex technology initiatives with company-wide impact; provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
  • Build secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions aligned with established standards and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex coding, testing, and platform issues, serving as an escalation point for critical challenges
  • Partner with stakeholders across engineering, production support, and platform teams to deliver reliable solutions
  • Drive compliance with risk management and governance requirements within the supported domain
  • Collaborate with technical experts, engineers, and leadership to solve complex problems and achieve business objectives
  • Develop and enhance ServiceNow applications using low-code and out-of-the-box solutions
  • Create workflows and automation scripts to streamline business processes
  • Manage API integrations with internal and external systems
  • Support Agile development practices, including coding, testing, and delivery
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing through tools like Confluence
  • Participate in production support, including L3 escalation responsibilities and release management activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent combination of work, education, or military experience)
  • 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow application development, implementation, or troubleshooting
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture and consulting on design and integration approaches
  • Experience with web technologies including JavaScript (ES5+), HTML, CSS/SCSS, and SQL
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response
  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist - Vulnerability Response certification
  • Micro-certifications (e.g., Service Portal, ATF, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub)
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, React)
  • 2+ years of experience with RESTful or SOAP APIs
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile environments
  • Experience integrating with security tools such as Qualys, Wiz, NVD, or Phosphorus
  • Strong understanding of web-based protocols and standards
