Data Engineer

• Implement and manage cloud data storage systems in AWS.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide suitable technical solutions.
• Develop and use data quality frameworks to ensure data integrity and security.
• Automate data ingestion, cleaning and transformation processes.
• Monitor the performance of data systems and troubleshoot issues when needed.
• Optimize performance and scalability of Big Data solutions.
• Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in daily work.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar technical roles.
• Strong knowledge of Big Data processing, especially Spark and Python, Java or Scala.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, group by, subqueries and temporary tables.
• Experience with AWS (preferred) or other major cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as AWS Step Functions, Azure Data Factory, Airflow or similar.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Git Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of version control platforms such as Git or Bitbucket., * Knowledge of visualization tools such as Power BI or Grafana.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Cloud or Big Data certifications.
• Previous experience in an international work environment., * Fluent English (reading, writing and conversation).
