Job description

The Network Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the groupage operation, ensuring freight is consolidated, moved and delivered efficiently through the pallet network.

This role will focus on maintaining strong service levels, operational efficiency, compliance and customer satisfaction, while supporting and leading operational teams and working closely with transport planners, warehouse staff, drivers, customers and partner carriers., * Supervise daily pallet network operations, ensuring freight is processed accurately and efficiently.

  • Monitor inbound and outbound pallet movements to ensure service commitments are met.
  • Manage operational priorities and respond effectively to changing customer and transport requirements.
  • Support the planning and execution of trunking, collections and delivery schedules.
  • Work closely with the transport planning team to support efficient vehicle routing and load optimisation.
  • Liaise with customers, subcontractors and partner depots to coordinate freight movements.
  • Monitor service performance and proactively address delays, exceptions and operational issues.
  • Ensure freight movements comply with customer requirements and agreed service levels.
  • Investigate and resolve service failures, delays, damages, shortages and customer complaints.
  • Monitor and manage customer pricing structures and invoicing processes, ensuring billing accuracy and effective communication around pricing and invoice queries.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience within transport, logistics, freight forwarding or groupage operations.
  • Strong understanding of groupage freight processes and transport operations.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident using transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
