Job description

Join Oracle’s NA Sovereign Operations (NASOVOPS) as a Cloud Operations Manager (M2). In this front-line management role, you will lead a small team responsible for the support, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of production cloud services and technologies. You will play a key role in the delivery and reliability of Oracle’s government cloud, focusing on continuous operations and process improvement. This position requires strong operational acumen, commitment to security and compliance, and a focus on developing talent in alignment with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) values., * Lead and develop a small team responsible for 24x7 support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of production cloud services.

  • Oversee operational planning, incident response, documentation, and ensure high service availability within your feature area.
  • Own the delivery and performance of a specific cloud service component, meeting corporate and compliance standards.
  • Implement and advocate for operational changes, aligning your team with evolving business needs.
  • Optimize team resources and manage budgets for efficient, cost-effective operations.
  • Set clear, measurable goals for team members, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and senior managers to resolve issues and communicate status.
  • Demonstrate Oracle’s values through inclusive leadership and a focus on professional growth.

Requirements

  • This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI or TS/SCI w/FSP Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Typically 0-2 years of people management or technical lead experience, and 4+ years of technical operations or software engineering in a cloud or large-scale production environment.
  • Strong foundation in Linux administration, scripting, cloud deployment, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
  • Experience with change management, incident handling, and supporting high-availability cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of network architecture, server administration, and cloud compliance standards (FedRAMP, DISA).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
