Job description

Our client seeks a Product Owner to modernize Call Reporting data and processes with primary focus on FR Y-14C. The role owns the product vision and backlog, leads Agile delivery, and partners with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and senior stakeholders to deliver accurate and compliant regulatory reporting. The Product Owner manages analysts and associate product owners, sets metrics, drives remediation of data deficiencies, and ensures production readiness and governance across releases., * Own and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to enterprise and business unit goals.

  • Translate business strategy into a prioritized backlog that delivers measurable value.
  • Define success metrics and track product performance against KPIs and OKRs.
  • Identify market, customer, and competitive trends to inform direction within financial services.
  • Lead identification, prioritization, and remediation of data deficiencies to improve Call Reporting accuracy and data quality.
  • Maintain a well-defined, estimable, and value-prioritized product backlog.
  • Write and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and definition of done with the delivery team.
  • Make scope and prioritization decisions to keep teams unblocked.
  • Ensure backlog items reflect regulatory, compliance, and data governance requirements.
  • Manage the regulatory reporting requirements backlog, prioritizing releases and fixes by impact.
  • Lead and coach product analysts and associate product owners.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and serve as the voice of the customer.
  • Partner with Scrum Masters to manage velocity, capacity, and dependencies.
  • Remove impediments related to scope, priority, or stakeholder alignment.
  • Oversee production readiness, including testing strategy, defect management, and evidence capture with QA and Technology.
  • Serve as liaison between sponsors, technology teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Build consensus on priorities, trade-offs, and release plans.
  • Facilitate steering and governance forums for regulatory or compliance-sensitive initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain the interaction model between Enterprise Data Technology Management and Regulatory Reporting stakeholders.
  • Support data governance and data quality initiatives with enterprise data teams.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and escalate risks.
  • Define and monitor product success metrics using data and feedback.
  • Apply Agile, Lean, and Kaizen principles to drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion a high-performance culture and mentor team members.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Agile, product management, and banking technology trends.

Requirements

  • Experience owning a product backlog and leading Agile delivery in a complex or regulated environment, ideally financial services.
  • People leadership experience managing or mentoring teams of approximately 5 to 15.
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Lean, and Kaizen with hands-on use of Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with production readiness, testing strategy, and QA for large-scale implementations.
  • Working knowledge of bank regulatory compliance, controls, and governance with audit support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of data lineage and data flow documentation with hands-on traceability mapping.
  • Ability to translate strategy into a prioritized roadmap and actionable user stories.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Reserve Call Reporting, particularly FR Y-14C, schedules, and source data.
  • Resourceful problem solver with technical fluency to engage with data and technology teams.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred certifications: CSPO, SAFe POPM, or equivalent.

Rate: $90.00 to $90.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
