Job description

Design, develop and support modern web applications and REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot and React.
Deliver secure, scalable and maintainable solutions within an OpenShift environment.
Enhance automation capabilities, case management solutions and digital customer journeys.
Design and integrate APIs using service-oriented and event-driven architecture.
Produce high-quality, test-driven code using TDD, pair programming and code reviews.
Develop accessible, responsive user interfaces using React, Next.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
Create and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright.
Support CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, troubleshooting and production support.
Work collaboratively within Agile (Kanban) teams, contributing to technical design and continuous improvement.
Coach and mentor colleagues while promoting engineering best practices.

Requirements

Strong commercial experience with Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Security, OAuth2 and microservices.
Experience with React, Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern Front End development.
Hands-on experience with OpenShift, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
Proven experience designing APIs, event-driven architectures and cloud-native applications.
Strong understanding of DevOps, observability tools, Grafana/Kibana and software quality practices.
Experience modernising Legacy systems and delivering software within Agile environments.
Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
