Job description
EASTCONN’s Technology Solutions Division is looking for a multi-talented individual capable of supporting a variety of initiatives related to IT support, data services, and/or application development. Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of system administration duties on database, application, and other servers including install, debug, maintain, upgrade, and general support.
- Evaluate, test, and deploy software and hardware.
- Proactive monitoring of servers, applications and services.
- Perform regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries.
- Work closely with the IT team to provide end-user support and issue resolution for EASTCONN and for external customers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging server tools and technologies.
- Research, evaluate and recommend system technologies to support educational/business requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for all processes and procedures.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Exceptional ability to learn new local and cloud-based system.
- Acumen for analytical thinking.
- Established experience in multiple areas of information technology.
- A.S. degree or equivalent experience (4 years work experience in technology).
Highly Regarded Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with CHAT-GPT or other intelligent systems.
- Experience with eGAMING.
- Experience with makerspace equipment and/or manufacuring equipment (laser cutters, 3d printers, machine tools, CAD-CAM, STL generation, slicing, etc.).
- Experience with MDM (JAMF).
- Experience with full stack programming (LAMP).
- Experience with any programming.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with Filemaker Pro.
