Job description

As our Planning & Insights team continues to grow, we have a brand-new opportunity for an Insights Analyst to join us.

In this role, you’ll help turn data into meaningful stories, practical recommendations and smarter decisions. You’ll deliver high-quality analysis, reporting and MI to support operational performance, resource planning and strategic decision-making across the business.

So, if you’ve been looking for an opportunity to enhance your experience by joining a leading pensions organisation, we can’t wait to hear from you., As an Insights Analyst, you’ll play a key role in helping us understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and support evidence-based decision-making.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, MI packs and standard operating procedures
  • Carrying out routine and ad-hoc analysis, including customer behaviour, root cause, driver and process analysis
  • Supporting forecasting, performance tracking and variance analysis
  • Transforming raw data into meaningful insight, with clear recommendations and consideration of risk and reward
  • Contributing to data quality, governance and the consistent use of analytical standards
  • Supporting opportunities to automate reporting and improve existing processes
  • Working with Planning, Operations and other cross-functional teams to understand business questions and provide useful insight

Requirements

We’re looking for someone with experience in analytics, reporting or business intelligence, ideally within an operational or service-led environment.

You’ll be confident working with data, building dashboards or MI packs, and using tools such as SQL and Power BI to create insight that helps others make better decisions.

You’ll also bring:

  • Experience in analytics, reporting or business intelligence, ideally with at least 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Practical experience building dashboards, MI packs and maintaining reporting processes
  • Working knowledge of SQL and BI tools, such as Power BI
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to carry out descriptive and diagnostic analysis
  • The ability to interpret data, spot patterns and communicate meaningful insight
  • Curiosity and lateral thinking, with the ability to explore different explanations and approach problems creatively
  • Confidence working with incomplete or evolving information, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity
  • A creative and open mindset, with a willingness to try new analytical approaches and tools
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity for non-technical audiences
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively with Planning, Operations and other cross-functional teams
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, Experience with contact centre platforms, such as Avaya, Verint or NICE
  • Exposure to Python or R, with an interest in developing your technical capability further
  • Experience with automation tools or optimisation approaches
  • Relevant analytics, BI or data qualifications

Salary of £36,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience
