Sr Software Engineer

Function of the Group: The role focuses on implementing and supporting service virtualization using Broadcom DevTest (v10.9.x).

Initiatives/Projects: The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to build virtual services based on real-world requests, troubleshoot issues, and promote adoption of service virtualization across teams., Responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. Responsible for creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the final program after it has been made., * Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.

• Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

• Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.

• Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system.

• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Build and configure virtual services in Broadcom DevTest based on incoming requests and defined requirements

• Analyze service dependencies and translate requirements into functional virtual service models

• Perform basic validation and ensure services meet performance and reliability expectations -Ongoing / Frequent Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine service virtualization use cases and improve implementations

• Provide end-user guidance on when and how to leverage service virtualization effectively

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within DevTest environments

As Work Progresses / Advanced Responsibilities

• Engage with Broadcom vendor support to address complex technical issues or product limitations

• Enhance and optimize virtual services through custom scripting and automation

Industry background: Service virtualization within financial services preferred. Broadcom DevTest (v10.9.x) is a must, * Broadcom DevTest (v10.9.x or similar)

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining virtual services

• Strong understanding of service virtualization concepts

• Windows Server (2019 / 2022)

• Experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting environments

• Custom Scripting (Java, JavaScript)

• Ability to extend DevTest functionality and automate service behavior

Flex Skills/Nice to Have:

• OpenShift

• Familiarity with containerized environments and deployment pipe lines solutions.
