Job description

A start up in Boston is hiring a Staff Backend Engineer to help lead the development and architecture of their core backend systems. In this role, you’ll work with product leadership and engineering teams to shape scalable API platforms, build new product features, and create data models that support rapid platform growth.

You’ll be working on multi-tenant SaaS products, complex data models, and modern APIs. You will thrive in a collaborative environment, take full ownership of impactful projects, and contribute meaningfully to both team mentorship and the technical vision of the company.

Requirements

Strong experience with backend frameworks (Node/TypeScript), relational databases, and API design

Technical leadership in large-scale projects

Experience with multi-tenant SaaS and product-driven systems

Strong communication skills
