Job description

The Web Designer is an experienced creative professional responsible for high-quality digital and print design. This role partners closely with marketing, software, editorial, and research teams to design websites, digital products, publications, and branded materials. The position plays a key role in UX/UI strategy, web product design, and project leadership while ensuring all work aligns with brand standards and business goals., Design and Strategy

  • Design responsive websites, digital products, and print materials
  • Lead UX/UI initiatives including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and accessibility improvements
  • Translate concepts, wireframes, and direction into polished visual designs
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines and design systems

Web and Digital

  • Collaborate with developers on website and digital product design
  • Conduct UX reviews and apply feedback, analytics, and testing insights
  • Organize and manage content within a proprietary CMS

Project Leadership

  • Manage design projects from concept to completion
  • Balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Lead timelines, approvals, milestones, and stakeholder communication
  • Present design concepts to leadership and partners

Collaboration and Vendors

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, editorial, research, and software teams
  • Coordinate with external vendors, freelancers, and agencies
  • Review and provide feedback on external creative work

Additional Support

  • Prepare production-ready files for print and digital
  • Support junior designers as needed
  • Step in for design leadership when the Creative Lead is unavailable

Requirements

Design and Tools

  • Expert-level Figma
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Experience with wireframes, prototypes, and design systems

Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • Familiarity with video production and AI experimentation

UX and Process

  • Strong understanding of UX/UI, accessibility, and responsive design
  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana or Azure DevOps

Professional Skills

  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced remote environment
  • Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of professional design experience (digital-focused preferred)
  • BA or BFA in Design, Marketing, or related field
