Job description

You will be a partner with your team to support members, projects, and to meet goals impacting business outcomes. The objective is to support and facilitate care for members.

To be eligible, you must be a transitioning service member approved to participate in the DoW SkillBridge, or a military spouse approved to participate in the Military Spouse Fellowship Program.

Job Description The Data Governance Senior Professional Intern will report to the Director of Data Governance. You will apply your training, experience and previously acquired skills to focus on Data Quality.

  • Research enterprise data governance frameworks, standards, policies, and existing internal practices to inform the development of a foundational Data Governance Implementation Guide.

  • Support the creation and documentation of a practical implementation approach that guides business areas through required data governance activities for new business initiatives.

  • Help define how business areas should identify, document, classify, manage, and govern data throughout the planning, design, implementation, and operational phases of new business work.

  • Partner with Enterprise Data Governance leadership to translate governance requirements into clear guidance, checklists, templates, decision points, and adoption steps.

  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand operational needs, current-state practices, and areas where additional governance rigor is needed.

  • Support alignment of the implementation guide with enterprise architecture, data management, data quality, data stewardship, data dictionary, data sensitivity, metadata, and data flow documentation expectations.

  • Document roles and responsibilities for business areas, data owners, data stewards, technology partners, and governance stakeholders involved in implementing data governance requirements.
