Database Administrator / Data Engineer

They are seeking a Database Administrator / Data Engineer to help build and maintain the data foundation powering their next-generation ERP platform. This role will be responsible for designing scalable data architectures, optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, and enabling advanced analytics and AI-driven capabilities., Database Administration & Architecture Design, implement, and maintain scalable database architectures supporting a high-growth AI ERP platform. Manage database performance, availability, security, and reliability across production environments. Perform database optimization, indexing, query tuning, and troubleshooting to improve system performance. Develop and maintain database standards, governance policies, backup strategies, and disaster recovery processes. Monitor database health, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address performance issues. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across financial and operational systems.

Data Engineering & Infrastructure Build and maintain robust data pipelines that support analytics, reporting, automation, and AI/ML initiatives. Design and develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Integrate data from ERP systems, financial applications, APIs, and third-party platforms. Develop data models and schemas that support business intelligence and product functionality. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define data requirements and create scalable solutions. Support the development of AI-driven features by ensuring clean, accessible, and reliable data. ERP & Financial Data Management Work with complex accounting and financial datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency across business workflows.

Understand data structures related to: General ledger Accounts payable and receivable Financial reporting Customer and vendor data Revenue and expense transactions Operational business data Partner with finance and product teams to improve data workflows and reporting capabilities. Help design systems that support automation of manual accounting and finance processes.

Security & Compliance Implement database security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and auditing. Support compliance initiatives related to financial data protection and enterprise security requirements. Establish processes for data governance, quality monitoring, and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, data engineering, and enterprise applications, with experience working with complex financial data, transactional systems, and cloud-based platforms., 4+ years of experience in Database Administration, Data Engineering, or a related role. Strong experience with relational databases such as: PostgreSQL MySQL SQL Server Oracle Advanced SQL skills with experience writing complex queries and optimizing performance. Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes. Experience with cloud database environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Strong understanding of data modeling, database architecture, and data governance. Experience working with SaaS applications or enterprise software platforms. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams.
