Expert Software Developer / Architect

Join Roche Diagnostics Solutions in CSI to shape the technical direction for enterprise-grade C# systems. You will drive architecture, coding standards, and modernization across .NET 8.0, with a focus on scalable, secure software and mentorship of engineers. This role blends hands-on development with strategic roadmapping and governance. You’ll work in a cross-functional, outcome-oriented environment delivering high-impact diagnostics and precision medicine solutions., * Participate in full software development lifecycle from feasibility to maintenance

• Design and implement code and tests based on requirements and architecture
• Define technical roadmap and ensure architectural governance across teams
• Conduct code and design reviews, driving quality and performance improvements
• Navigate ambiguity and maintain forward progress in delivery
• Full-stack development with emphasis on C#, WPF, and .NET 8.0
• Define technology choices, workflows, and enforce rigorous coding standards
• Mentor and coach engineers to foster excellence and continuous learning
• Monitor development progress to align with initial design and technical vision
• Ensure software quality, security, and modifiability requirements are met

• Proficient in C#, WPF, and .NET 8.0
• SQL Server experience incl. database design and EF
• Git/GitHub proficiency
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Ability to use AI-supporting tools across the lifecycle
• Experience in Build Environments setup
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong architectural skills for complex, scalable systems
• Experience coaching and guiding engineering teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 10+ years of enterprise software development experience
