Job description

As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for delivering first and second-line technical support, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring users receive efficient and professional assistance. You’ll work with Microsoft technologies, networking, hardware, cloud services, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure while contributing to ongoing improvement projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide first and second-line technical support to users across multiple locations.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices.
  • Set up and deploy desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and IT equipment.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security using Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Support Microsoft Exchange Online and Outlook.
  • Troubleshoot networking issues, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN, switching, and routing.
  • Support Windows Server environments.
  • Configure and maintain printers, scanners, and network devices.
  • Monitor system performance, backups, and endpoint security.
  • Install software, updates, and security patches.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Support Azure / Entra ID and Microsoft Intune environments.
  • Document incidents, solutions, and IT procedures.
  • Maintain IT asset records and equipment inventories.
  • Assist with infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and IT improvement projects.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while supporting staff with technical issues., * Opportunities to work with Microsoft cloud technologies and modern IT infrastructure.

Requirements

We’re looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join our growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting users, and working with a wide range of technologies. You’ll work alongside experienced IT professionals while developing your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Please note: A Full UK Driving Licence is required, as occasional travel between our sites is part of the role., Essential

  • Good knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server.
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online.
  • Good knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN, switching, and routing.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and printer issues.
  • Experience configuring desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure / Entra ID.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Intune.
  • Good knowledge of Linux.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with Hyper-V or VMware.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience with WordPress administration.
  • Experience with Meta Business Suite and Canva.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, ITIL, or equivalent certifications.
