Senior Software Engineer

Nuvarik Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team in San Diego, CA. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that support business operations and customer solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with product managers, software engineers, quality assurance teams, and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality software., * Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.

• Participate in software architecture and technical design discussions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and project objectives.
• Review code and provide technical guidance to development team members.
• Troubleshoot software defects and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
• Maintain technical documentation and development standards.
• Support software deployments, system upgrades, and production releases.
• Research new technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience developing enterprise-level software applications.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
• Experience developing REST APIs and distributed applications.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency using Git and version control systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications.
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks.
• Previous experience mentoring software engineers.
• Relevant cloud certifications are an advantage.
