Job description

As an IT Support Specialist at Southern Pediatrics, you will be the face of IT for our employees across our growing pediatric clinic network. More than simply resolving technical issues, you’ll create positive experiences by delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring our providers and staff have the technology they need to deliver outstanding patient care.

Working closely with the Director of IT and Systems Engineer, you’ll play an important role in building Southern Pediatrics’ internal IT department as we transition technology services from outsourced providers to a modern, scalable in-house operation. This is an opportunity to help shape how IT operates-from documenting processes and improving workflows to helping build a best-in-class IT department.

Success in this role is measured not only by the technical issues you resolve, but by the relationships you build, the trust you earn, and the positive experiences you create for our employees every day.

After 6 months, you have:

  • Become a trusted and approachable IT resource for clinic staff and internal stakeholders.
  • Built strong relationships with employees through responsive, friendly, and dependable support.
  • Successfully resolved a wide variety of hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 support requests.
  • Deployed and configured Windows and macOS devices using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
  • Developed familiarity with Southern Pediatrics’ clinical applications, workflows, and support processes.
  • Begun documenting support procedures and identifying opportunities to improve the employee technology experience.

After 12 months, you have:

  • Become the primary support technician for multiple clinic locations.
  • Independently managed employee onboarding, offboarding, and workstation deployments.
  • Assisted with clinic technology upgrades, office moves, and new clinic implementations.
  • Maintained accurate device inventory and IT documentation.
  • Identified recurring support issues and helped improve processes to reduce future problems.
  • Built trusted relationships with clinic leaders by consistently delivering exceptional service.

After 18 months, you have:

  • Become a go-to resource for end-user support across the organization.
  • Taken ownership of endpoint lifecycle management and hardware deployments.
  • Helped develop documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational procedures that improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Assisted in mentoring new IT team members on support standards and customer service expectations.
  • Played an active role in helping Southern Pediatrics scale its internal IT organization.
