As part of Boehringer-Ingelheim’s One LIMS strategy, our landscape is evolving, progressively reducing fragmentation and shifting focus from system-centric work toward data-driven insights and advanced digital use cases.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the existing LIMS ecosystem during the transition phase, driving data-centric initiatives that unlock value from laboratory data and contributing to the development of scalable, future-ready digital solutions.

In essence: you will help us transform laboratory data into actionable insights and elevate Quality Control operations to the next level.

  • You will support and/or lead technical projects, combining elements of LIMS, data analytics, and digital innovation
  • You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate laboratory processes and challenges into data-driven solutions
  • You will contribute to the design and implementation of data use cases, such as:
  • Data exploration for investigations and root cause analysis
  • Process monitoring and optimization
  • Predictive use cases (e.g., trend analysis, forecasting, anomaly detection)
  • You will ensure proper documentation, compliance, and data integrity in GxP-relevant environments
  • You will support the integration and evolution of the existing LIMS landscape during the transition toward One LIMS
  • You will engage and coordinate external partners and vendors where needed
  • You will act as a bridge between IT, Data, and Business teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • At least 2 - 3 years of experience in:
  • Laboratory Informatics (e.g., LIMS such as LabWare) or
  • IT Business Analysis / Technical Project Management in regulated environments
  • Solid understanding of data concepts and analytics, demonstrated through:
  • Practical experience in data-driven projects (e.g., analysis, modeling, data exploration), or
  • Relevant academic background
  • Experience working in GxP-regulated environments (pharma, biotech, or similar)
  • Proven experience in software implementation or digital transformation projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical and data solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in an international environment
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), Spanish as a plus
  • Availability to travel occasionally (mainly within Europe, <10%)
  • Experience working in an international and intercultural environment is a plus
