Job description

  • Prepare materials and perform routine, independent testing using instruments such as Instron, HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, ISTI Integrated Set Time Instrument, viscosity meters, Karl Fisher and RAMAN
  • GC SME - Set up, breakdown, troubleshooting, and capability to support other analysts with questions
  • Validation - Validation experience of analytical test methods performed according to USP, ICH, FDA requirements
  • Empower - Empower administration experience, creation of nodes, instruments, project creation and management, method creation
  • Recognize and document any problems during analysis and initiate investigations for non-conformances
  • Complete and archive accurate test and investigation records (manual/electronic)
  • Perform calibrations and verifications of laboratory instruments
  • Collect, prepare, and analyze data, including supporting LEAN and Six Sigma Initiatives and Maintenance Excellence (6S/Operator Asset Care) projects
  • Use additional test equipment as required (Starett Gauge, Mitutoyo Gauge, Microscope)
  • Utilize applicable lab software (e.g., ComplianceWire, ADAPTIV, LIMS, SAP, Maximo)
  • Support laboratory housekeeping, organization, and team culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required
  • Over 2 years’ experience in a GMP laboratory performing advanced testing
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Gas Chromatography (GC)
  • Training in GMP and ISO requirements preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and a self-motivated attitude
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to additional lab sites in Athens, Flowery Branch, and Baldwin, GA
  • Comply with GMP/ISO regulations, environmental and safety policies, and specific safety and PPE procedures
