Job description

Nash Technologies Germany GmbH is looking for an experienced Tools Developer (m/f/x) to strengthen our engineering team in Böblingen.

In this role, you will design, develop and maintain a modern tooling ecosystem that empowers multiple C++ development teams to work more efficiently and effectively. Your focus will be on Python-based tool development, software testing frameworks, CI infrastructure and advanced debugging and analysis solutions.

You will work closely with C++ developers to understand their day-to-day challenges and eliminate productivity bottlenecks by creating new tools and continuously enhancing existing ones. While Python will be your primary development language, you will also work with Ruby and Shell scripting to maintenance legacy tools., * Support Scrum teams and their C++ development environment

  • Own and maintain the tooling landscape
  • Identify developer pain points and deliver practical solutions
  • Adapt and extend software testing tools, including an existing Ruby framework
  • Develop new Python-based tools, test frameworks and automations
  • Improve workflows, CI pipelines and testing efficiency
  • Ensure maintainability, reliability and documentation
  • Support the modernization of legacy tooling

Requirements

  • University degree in the field of computer science or related disciplines
  • Strong software engineering and automation background
  • Proficient in Python development on Linux
  • Experience with Python test frameworks (pytest, unittest, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of:
  • Build systems and automation pipelines
  • Debugging, profiling and memory analysis
  • Ruby, Shell scripting, Perl is beneficial
  • Experience with Bazel or other modern build systems is beneficial
  • Experience with modern web technologies and web-based application development is beneficial
  • Background in CI concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar) is beneficial
  • Ability to understand and improve existing tooling solutions
  • Customer-focused mindset and strong collaboration skills
