Job description

The IT Director performs a wide range of duties, including, but not limited to the following, 1. Lead IT operations across infrastructure, service desk, endpoint management, and security

  1. Own and evolve the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  2. Define and implement enterprise identity strategy across Entra ID and Okta
  3. Establish and enforce Zero Trust principles, including MFA, Conditional Access, device trust, and least-privilege access
  4. Oversee endpoint management strategy (Intune, device compliance, patching, hardening)
  5. Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of IT systems
  6. Develop and manage IT vendors, MSPs, and strategic technology partners
  7. Oversee asset lifecycle management across ~14 locations (hardware, software, licensing)
  8. Partner with executive leadership and business units to align IT strategy with organizational goals

Microsoft 365 & Identity Leadership Areas:

  1. Microsoft 365 architecture, governance, and service optimization
  2. Security & compliance capabilities (Microsoft Defender, Purview, DLP, Insider Risk, retention)
  3. Identity lifecycle management (JML processes, provisioning/deprovisioning automation)
  4. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and privileged identity management (PIM)
  5. Okta administration (SSO integrations, adaptive MFA, lifecycle workflows)
  6. Email security and threat protection (Defender for Office 365, phishing protection)
  7. Licensing strategy, cost optimization, and usage analytics
  8. Integration of identity across SaaS applications and enterprise systems

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in programming, computer science, computer engineering, or another related field or equivalent work experience.

Minimum Work Experience: Minimum 10-years of experience in Information Technology.

Other Requirements: Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus., 1. Demonstrated ownership of Microsoft 365 environments at scale

  1. Deep expertise in identity platforms (Microsoft Entra ID required; Okta strongly preferred)
  2. Strong understanding of modern security frameworks (Zero Trust, NIST, CIS, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
  3. Experience operating in hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem AD)
  4. Proven ability to manage vendors and deliver strategic initiatives
  5. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders
  6. Experience managing multi-site environment.
  7. Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, SC-300, SC-200)
  8. Okta certifications (Administrator / Professional)
  9. Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code (PowerShell, Graph API, scripting)
  10. Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel)
  11. Experience with ITSM frameworks (ITIL) and service delivery optimization
  12. Exposure to compliance audits (SOC 2, ISO, etc.)

This position is a strategic and hands-on IT Director position that leads IT operations, modern workplace services, and identity/security architecture, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft 365 and Identity & Access Management (IAM). This role drives the design, governance, and continuous improvement of our cloud-first environment, ensuring secure, scalable, and user-centric technology services across the organization. The position requires deep technical expertise in Microsoft 365 and identity platforms (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID, Okta) with proven leadership experience, and a strong understanding of modern security frameworks such as Zero Trust.
