Working Student Python Backend & Cloud Engineering

• Build, optimize, and maintain high-performing Python backends and Django REST APIs that drive our automated internal platforms and tools
• Design efficient workflows to process, parse, and transform complex JSON data structures with high speed and reliability
• Manage and scale our database systems by handling migrations and updates across PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB setups
• Partner closely with frontend developers to ensure smooth user experiences and robust system stability across all applications
• Participate in collaborative code reviews to keep our codebase clean, modular, secure, and easily maintainable
• Boost backend performance by optimizing data queries, implementing security best practices, and driving process automation
• Create clear technical documentation and system maps to help the team understand and scale the application architecture

• Enrolled student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a comparable technical field of study
• Initial practical experience (ideally 6 to 18 months) in software engineering with Python and web frameworks such as Django
• Solid understanding of database design, query writing, and data handling in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB
• Familiarity with Git workflows and a strong interest in containerizing and deploying services using Docker
• Analytical mindset with a passion for solving complex logical challenges and building highly secure systems
• Excellent communication skills in English, while German language skills are a welcome bonus but not mandatory
