As a Data Platform Engineer (Infrastructure & Integrations) at Yapily, you will contribute to the architecture, design, and scaling of our modern, next-generation data platform. This is a mid-to-senior level role perfect for an experienced engineer who thrives at the intersection of core data infrastructure and complex FinTech ecosystem integrations. You will own the evolution of our high-performance data pipelines, ledger reporting, and critical business system integrations. This role offers a front-row seat to evolving Yapily’s GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Databricks stack, empowering our engineering and finance teams to transform raw transactional data into highly secure, compliant, and actionable value. Requirements As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for: - Data Lake & Databricks Architecture: Evaluate and implement optimal modern storage and ingestion tools. Lead the end-to-end implementation and optimization of Databricks Pipelines for our big data processing needs. - FinTech Tooling & Integrations: Drive the Proof of Concept (POC) and full implementation of our corporate Transaction Fraud Monitoring Tool, ensuring automated flows across systems. - Salesforce & Ecosystem Engineering: Architect and build production-grade, secure connectors from Salesforce to the Transaction Monitoring tool, and lead the integration of our Know Your Business (KYB) tools directly into Salesforce to automate onboarding. - Treasury & Finance Automation: Own the technical integration between our corporate Treasury systems and core Finance tools to streamline automated cash positioning and financial reconciliations. - Ledger & Activity Reporting: Design and maintain scalable, high-fidelity data pipelines to power Ledger and Activity Reporting within an event-driven architecture. - Database & Cloud Operations: Manage high-volume financial data utilizing SQL, NoSQL, and GCP services (such as Pub/Sub, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage), ensuring optimal schema design and cost-efficient query performance. - Cross-functional Technical Leadership: Partner closely with Finance, Compliance, and Core Engineering teams to translate complex business workflows into robust technical solutions. - Platform Quality & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Maintain rigorous monitoring, logging, and testing frameworks while utilizing tools like Terraform/Terragrunt/Harness to ensure infrastructure flexibility and resilience. Requirements

Core Data Engineering Experience: 3+ years of professional experience building and scaling data platform infrastructure, ideally within an enterprise or fast-growing startup environment. - Big Data Ecosystems: Production-grade experience implementing and managing Databricks/BigQuery or Apache Spark environments. - Integration & API Expertise: Strong background designing, building, and maintaining custom REST APIs and webhooks. Hands-on experience integrating with major business SaaS platforms (specifically Salesforce) is highly valued. - Advanced Languages & Querying: Proficiency in Java/Python (for data automation and scripting) and advanced SQL (for schema optimization and complex financial ledger querying). - Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience working inside a major cloud provider ecosystem, ideally GCP (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage) or equivalent AWS/Azure components. - Problem-Solving & Autonomy: An architectural mindset with the ability to independently evaluate vendor tools, build robust POCs, and own technical roadmaps from conception to deployment. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) - FinTech Domain Knowledge: An active interest or background in Open Banking, high-volume transactional processing and FinTech ecosystems. - Compliance Tooling Experience: Previous exposure to financial compliance systems, including Transaction Monitoring, AML, or KYC/KYB workflows. - Infrastructure as Code: Experience provisioning data infrastructure using Terraform/Terragrunt.
