Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Application Analyst specializing in Health Information Management (HIM) Coding and 3m Solventum to join our dynamic healthcare technology team. This role involves analyzing, optimizing, and supporting health information systems with a focus on medical coding, billing, and documentation accuracy. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in medical coding standards and electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance data integrity, streamline workflows, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to improving healthcare data management and operational efficiency., * Analyze and interpret medical records to ensure accurate coding using ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and DRG classifications.
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of 3m Solventum health information management systems.
- Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to optimize coding processes and improve documentation quality.
- Assist in the review of medical records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with coding standards.
- Provide expertise on medical terminology, coding guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure proper reimbursement.
- Support training initiatives for staff on EMR/EHR systems and coding protocols.
- Monitor coding activities for consistency with industry standards such as ICD coding and DRG assignments.
- Participate in audits related to medical billing, collections, and coding accuracy.
- Troubleshoot system issues related to medical records management within the health information platform.
- Contribute to process improvement projects aimed at enhancing data quality and operational workflows.
Requirements
Requires 5-7 years with Solventum / 3M and success in production enviornments., * Extensive knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems.
- Strong understanding of medical billing processes and medical collections procedures.
- Experience working with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare documentation standards.
- Familiarity with medical office operations and healthcare compliance regulations.
- Ability to analyze complex health data accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration across clinical, administrative, and technical teams.
