Job description
IPSecure is seeking an experienced Lead Security Architect to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the security architecture. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining a secure enterprise environment through the implementation of network boundary protections, security monitoring capabilities, and automated compliance solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cybersecurity architecture, cloud security, and enterprise network security technologies while supporting mission-critical operations.
- Design, implement, and maintain the security architecture.
- Develop and oversee enterprise security solutions to protect mission-critical systems and data.
- Design and implement network boundary protection technologies, including F5 BIG-IP and related security infrastructure.
- Architect and integrate security monitoring solutions to enhance threat detection and incident response.
- Develop and implement compliance automation capabilities to support cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and program stakeholders to ensure security is integrated throughout the system lifecycle.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend architectural improvements to strengthen the security posture.
- Support security assessments, accreditation activities, and continuous monitoring initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in cybersecurity engineering and security architecture.
- Current professional-level cloud security certification, such as:
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
- Demonstrated experience with network boundary technologies, including F5 BIG-IP.
- Active Secret security clearance (minimum required).

Strong understanding of enterprise cybersecurity principles, secure architecture design, and risk management.
- Experience implementing Zero Trust architectures.
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs.
- Experience with SIEM, SOAR, and enterprise security monitoring platforms.
- Experience automating security and compliance processes using scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions to leadership.
