Job description

The Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at BrandRank.AI plays a key role in assisting with the deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of AWS infrastructure and software delivery systems for our AI-driven brand analysis platform. This entry-level position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices and eager to contribute to innovative solutions that support business success and system reliability. The Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will work closely with senior engineers to develop technical skills and grow within the company., * Infrastructure Support: Assist in maintaining and monitoring AWS infrastructure across staging and production environments to ensure system reliability and performance.

  • CI/CD Pipeline Assistance: Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions and AWS-native services.
  • Container Management: Help manage and troubleshoot Docker-based services, including container deployment, networking, and health monitoring.
  • Cloud Operations: Work with AWS services such as EC2, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager to support infrastructure and operational needs.
  • Security and Best Practices: Assist in implementing cloud security best practices, including IAM management, secure credential handling, and least-privilege access controls.
  • Automation and Scripting: Contribute to automation efforts by extending Bash scripts and supporting small Python-based utilities for operational tasks.
  • Troubleshooting and Monitoring: Monitor logs, metrics, and system health while assisting in diagnosing and resolving deployment or infrastructure issues.
  • Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotations and serve as a front-line responder for production incidents, assisting in troubleshooting and restoring system stability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on emerging DevOps technologies, cloud infrastructure trends, and automation practices to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of AWS cloud services, including compute, networking, storage, and IAM concepts.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments, command-line tools, and system logs.
  • Basic understanding of Docker containers and containerized application workflows.
  • Experience with Git version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
  • Basic scripting experience using Bash; Python experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and deployment automation tools.
  • Understanding of cloud security and operational best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Exposure to modern DevOps and cloud infrastructure tools, including CI/CD platforms, AWS deployments, infrastructure-as-code frameworks, observability tools, and secure cloud workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)., * Bachelor’s (Preferred)
