Job description

A large financial client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (8+ years) to design and build enterprise-grade applications supporting financial and investment-focused initiatives. This engineer will act as a primary technical owner, partnering directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.

Requirements

8+ years of software engineering experience building complex applications and systems.
Python, Java, C#, or similar object-oriented languages.

o Python preferred, but system design and engineering fundamentals are more important than language.

o Looking for engineers who build applications and platforms, not primarily scripts or automation.

Experience working with financial, investment, fintech, capital markets, or similar industries.
Hands-on experience building and deploying AI-enabled solutions into production environments.

o Experience building systems that incorporate AI-not simply using AI coding assistants.

Strong application architecture, system design, database modeling, and data design experience.
Ability to gather requirements directly from business stakeholders and design effective technical solutions.
Experience serving as the primary engineer and technical owner for projects.
