HR Specialist - Payroll/HRIS

Position Summary - The HR Specialist joins the Corporate HR team for our nationwide mortgage lending company. Responsibilities include processing Payroll on a semi-monthly schedule and administering software systems related to payroll and HRIS, primarily ADP Workforce Now. Additional duties include assisting the HR team with onboarding new hires, generating reports, document & records retention, and process improvement., Application Question(s)

· Minimum 2 years of direct experience processing multi-state payroll for 100+ employees

· Strong computer skills with software systems, Excel spreadsheets, generating reports, and admin access with external service providers’ online portals

· Knowledge and awareness of payroll rules and regulations as mandated by local, state and federal governments, including wage & hour requirements, taxation, garnishments, benefit deductions, and notices

· Professionalism, using excellent judgement and discretion with confidential, sensitive, personal and protected information

· Superior attention to detail and accuracy and ability to engage in sustained focus on very tedious sequential process

Preferred Qualifications - the most suitable candidates will meet the following criteria:

· Prior experience using ADP Workforce Now with administrator level access

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Human Resources or a related field

· Advance proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formulas) and SharePoint

· Knowledge of accounting principles

· Strong customer service skills, featuring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, * Have you had 2+ years of direct payroll processing experience at a company with more than 100 employees?

Have you frequently created pivot tables and use VLOOKUP formulas in Excel?
