- Identify market/business-driven requirements and derive appropriate satellite system and subsystem requirements (e.g., connectivity, on-board processing capabilities).
- Liaise with MSC roadmaps and company product strategy to ensure alignment.
- Drive the adaptation of existing satellite product lines to satisfy customer requirements while enabling mid-scale industrialization of the satellite concept.
- Support the definition of the industrial policy for small satellites, identify partners and subcontractors, lead co-engineering activities with them, and support the selection and procurement of satellite components.
- Establish and maintain satellite-level engineering budgets (mass, power, data volume, pointing, etc.).
- Define verification and validation logic for the product line, including identification of verification methods for satellite system/subsystem specifications and verification close-out processes during development.
- Contribute to the execution of program milestones and reviews.
Key Roles
- Deploy novel engineering methods, processes, and tools (e.g., MBSE, multi-disciplinary analyses, concurrent design engineering).
- Digitalise design, development and manufacturing processes (e.g., DDMS) and implement them across all disciplines.
- Develop novel features in existing product lines or upgrade existing lines to accommodate those features, as dictated by business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in industrialising satellite systems.
- Deep knowledge of space system development, verification, validation and operation processes and methods.
