Job description
The Project Manager will report to the Public Cloud Program Director and will be responsible for driving public cloud migrations Business Units in EMEA, as well as supporting modernization activities across application landscape., * Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of a comprehensive cloud migration strategy and roadmap aligned with organisational goals and objectives.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of the cloud migration and modernization programme, including discovery and planning, mobilisation, timeline management, Operational Readiness Reviews, and risk mitigation. Identify and mitigate risks, resolve conflicts, and make timely decisions.
- Programme Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on programme KPIs, challenges, achievements, and progress to executive leadership and other relevant stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the Cloud First Value Stream, including cloud architects, engineers, and developers, to support effective teamwork, communication, and delivery performance.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, industry trends, and emerging practices related to cloud migration and modernization.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business units, and CCOE teams, to understand requirements, address concerns, and ensure the cloud modernization programme remains aligned with organisational needs.
- Supplier Management: Work with third-party suppliers and cloud service providers to deliver migration and modernization activities according to agreed plans.
- Compliance and Security: Work with Compliance and Security teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met and robust security controls and practices are implemented to protect data and systems in the cloud environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimisation of cloud resources, and support initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ experience managing or contributing to cloud migration and modernization projects.
- Good knowledge and understanding of SAFe delivery, agile principles, and tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Good understanding of core cloud infrastructure and services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements and security best practices for cloud environments.
- Good knowledge and understanding of ITIL disciplines.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR and DORA is preferred but not mandatory.
- Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft cloud certifications, SAFe, ITIL, and agile certifications.
