In this role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of a high-performance Payments system supporting global e-commerce operations. You will work on scaling, optimizing, and modularizing payment services, including integrating new payment methods and improving reliability across multiple platforms. The position involves designing and implementing robust backend workflows, applying best practices in Domain-Driven Design and Event Sourcing. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless and accurate payment experience for merchants and customers. This role provides a dynamic environment where innovation, quality, and technical mentorship are highly valued.AccountabilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend systems for payments, ensuring scalability and robustnessExtract and transform existing payment modules into independent services using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event SourcingImplement workflows and orchestration logic for high-load, distributed payment systems using Temporal.ioIntegrate new payment options and support multicurrency and subscription management featuresCollaborate with product teams to define features, resolve bugs, and improve code qualityConduct code reviews, mentor team members, and contribute to knowledge sharing sessionsMaintain high standards in testing, CI/CD, and software development best practicesRequirements5+ years of experience with PHP developmentStrong knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and CQRS principlesExperience building and maintaining distributed systemsQuality-focused mindset: testing (TDD preferred), SOLID principles, pair programming, and Agile methodologiesAbility to mentor team members and provide constructive code feedbackProficient in English (spoken and written).
