Responsibilities - Responsible for supporting the end-to-end process of transferring data from legacy to new environments. - Create a data mapping, ensuring accuracy, quality, and alignment with business requirements. - Develop and execute test plans to validate the accuracy and completeness of migrated data. - Identify and resolve data issues and discrepancies during the migration process, working with other teams. - Monitor the migration process for performance and efficiency, making adjustments to optimize the data transfer. - In-depth understanding of insurance industry concepts, products, policy administration processes, claims, investments and accounting. - Perform ETL process to extract data from source systems, transform it according to migration requirements, and load it into the target system. - Develop and implement data cleansing, normalization, and transformation rules to ensure data consistency and quality. - Conduct data quality checks, validation, and error handling to maintain data accuracy before, during, and after migration. - Work with IT teams, database administrator, and business units to understand data requirements and migration objectives. - Achieve a seamless migration that minimizes disruption and maximizes data usability in the new system. - Monitor data performance and provide ongoing support to address any post-migration issues. - Document each phase of the migration process, including data mappings, transformations, and quality checks. - Produce and enforce development standards and technical standards. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field. - 2+ years of experience in data migration, ETL process, or a related data management role. - Knowledge of data validation, quality assurance practices and data transformation techniques. - Strong technical proficiency to comprehend current system architecture, data structures, and integration points. - Skilled in meticulous data analysis and migration, ensuring data integrity during transition. - Experience developing and leading technology engagement. - Advanced knowledge of SQL. - An excellent understanding of best practices across technologies (client/server-side, QA, security by design, etc.). - Familiarity with cloud environments can be differential. - Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules.
