Job description
Senior Windows System Administrator to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure environments. This role requires expertise in Windows Server administration along with hands-on experience in container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes, and virtualization technologies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining system reliability, performance, and security across hybrid environments.

Administer, maintain, and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).

Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and IIS.

Design and support virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).

Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes and OpenShift.

Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

Automate system administration tasks using PowerShell and scripting tools.
-
Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to support CI/CD pipelines.
-
Implement and enforce security best practices, patch management, and compliance standards.

Troubleshoot complex system, network, and application issues.

Maintain system documentation, procedures, and configurations.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior administrators.
Requirements
-
5-10+ years of experience in Windows system administration
-
Strong expertise in:
-
Windows Server administration.
-
Active Directory & Group Policy.
-
PowerShell scripting.
-
Hands-on experience with:
-
Kubernetes
-
Red Hat OpenShift
-
Virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V).
-
Experience with system monitoring tools and backup solutions.
-
Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancing).
Preferred Qualifications
-
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).

Red Hat or Kubernetes certifications (e.g., CKA, OpenShift Administrator).
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 5+ years’ work experience.
-
Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (13 years total).
Clearance:
- The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation.
