Job description

As a Lead Software Engineer for our Digital Payments Team, you will lead a team of engineers to build and scale systems that move money reliably, securely, and at high volume. You will own key integrations with payment vendors globally, leading projects end-to-end from technical design through delivery. You will drive cross-functional conversations while coordinating across engineering, product, and external partners to ship new payment initiatives.

  • Drive the delivery of key initiatives while guiding the team on best engineering practices.
  • Develop and support .NET Core and .NET Framework REST APIs and Microservices.
  • Write clean and scalable code using standard software design patterns and best practices.
  • Mentor and develop your team, promoting continuous improvement and quality delivery.
  • Design and integrate third-party services into our application to support business needs.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams and developers to meet project deadlines.
  • Analyze opportunities for improvements in our application and process flow.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and a delivery plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience as a .NET Developer or with a comparable object-oriented programming language.
  • 3+ years leading teams delivering complex initiatives and core projects.
  • Proficiency with .NET Core, C#, Python, Java, SQL Server, and Git/Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, relational databases, and the SDLC.
  • Experience with debugging, performance profiling, and optimization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to prepare technical documentation for the development team.
