Job description

UX specialist - Pharma (Hybrid New Brunswick, NJ) We are seeking a UX specialist for a global pharmaceutical client. This role blends experience strategy, hands on user research, and workflow analysis, with practical design execution. You’ll work closely with product owners, scientists, IT, and other cross-functional partners to identify requirements and translate user and business needs into intuitive, scalable designs. This is a 40-hour per week, 6-month contract (extensions possible), 50% onsite role at the client’s office in New Brunswick, NJ. Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00 am 5:00 pm This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead user research activities, including user interviews, stakeholder interviews, workflow walk throughs, and usability testing
  • Synthesize research findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations, and present them to cross functional stakeholders
  • Map complex workflows and translate user needs into clear requirements, concepts, and UX strategies
  • Contribute to interaction design and UI design efforts, creating low to high fidelity designs in Figma as appropriate for the project stage
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Data, and Product partners to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and aligned with technical constraints
  • Support projects end to end, often acting as the sole UX resource on individual initiatives

Requirements

  • Must have 4-7 yrs of professional experience in relevant field particularly those with demonstrated ability to lead and drive projects forward.
  • Experience in UX research, UX design, service design, or a related field
  • Strong workflow mapping, systems thinking, and requirements gathering skills
  • Must have proficiency with Figma
  • A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking, interaction design, shipped work simplifying domain complexity into intuitive user experiences or similar is required.
  • Experience with AI-enabled tools, data/analytics platforms, or modeling/automation workflows is highly desirable.
  • Experience with user research methods to iterate and validate designs.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
