Job description

SystemsThe Data and Reporting Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity of Council data systems and transforming data into meaningful information that supports membership growth, operational effectiveness, and strategic decision-making. This position serves as the primary resource for reporting, analytics, data quality, and technical support related to membership, dues, bargaining unit, and organizational data systems., · Maintain and support the Council’s membership, dues, bargaining unit, and organizational databases, including UnionWare and related systems.

· Monitor, validate, reconcile, and maintain membership, dues, employer, and payroll deduction data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

· Develop, maintain, and automate recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for leadership staff for strategic decision-making.

· Analyze membership, operational, workforce, and organizational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key performance indicators.

· Serve as the Council’s data steward by promoting data governance standards, data quality controls, and reporting consistency.

· Document data definitions, reporting procedures, and business processes.

· Provide technical assistance, training, and user support related to UnionWare and other organizational data systems.

· Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automate manual processes, and enhance data quality.

· Assist with Unionware implementations, upgrades, testing, and enhancements.

· Maintain the confidentiality, security, and integrity of organizational data and information.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Information systems, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Three (3) or more years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, database administration, or a related field.

· Experience working with large relational databases and reporting systems.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, Power Query, and data analysis tools.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.

· Ability to translate complex data into meaningful and actionable information.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and maintain confidentiality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience with UnionWare or similar membership management systems.

· Experience serving as a system administrator, power user, or subject matter expert for a database or enterprise system.

· Experience with SQL, Microsoft Access, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting and business intelligence tools.

· Experience creating automated reporting, dashboards, and data visualizations.

· Experience working with labor unions, membership organizations, nonprofits, or public-sector organizations.

· Position requires light to moderate work with 20 (twenty) pounds maximum weight to lift and carry.
