Job description

To engineer, maintain, and secure standardized device images and software deployment packages across the district’s multi-platform environment, with a heavy focus on the Windows ecosystem. This role ensures a seamless end-user experience by managing the lifecycle of Windows, Apple, and ChromeOS endpoints using modern management tools like Microsoft Intune and Ivanti., 1. Prepares and maintains master images and deployment profiles for Windows, Mac, and Chrome devices, with a primary focus on the Windows environment.

  1. Designs, builds, and tests software bundles/packages for automated distribution via Microsoft Intune and Ivanti.
  2. Documents technical configurations for each hardware model, including firmware, driver versions, and special settings.
  3. Provides Tier 3 technical support, mentorship, and training for Help Desk Analysts and Field Technicians to foster internal growth and knowledge sharing.
  4. Assists in managing the district’s Chrome fleet, including device enrollment, policy configuration, and app white-listing in the Google Admin Console.
  5. Assists in maintaining Apple device compliance and application deployment through Jamf Pro.
  6. Deploys and manages virtualized applications and remote desktop services as needed.
  7. Interfaces with Network Operations and other IT teams to facilitate secure software installation across district networks.
  8. Assists in the evaluation and budget development of hardware/software specifications.
  9. Provides outstanding, professional customer service.

Requirements

Education/Degree(s):

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of successful experience in IT support (e.g., Help Desk, Field Support, Desktop Support, or endpoint deployment) required.
  • Strong foundation in supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 environments and Microsoft 365 required.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise-grade computer hardware and peripherals preferred.
  • Hands-on experience or demonstrated foundational knowledge of modern endpoint management tools, specifically Microsoft Intune and/or Ivanti (or SCCM) preferred.
  • Experience managing Apple devices (macOS/iOS) using Jamf Pro preferred.
  • Experience managing Chrome devices and users via the Google Admin Console preferred.
  • Experience in the K-12 education industry preferred.

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (Intune) preferred.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar foundational IT certifications preferred.
  • Jamf Certified Tech (100) or Jamf Certified Admin (200) preferred.
  • Google Professional ChromeOS Administrator preferred.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Must be a critical thinker with advanced hardware/software troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to implement and adhere to strict IT policies and procedures required.
  • Working knowledge of OS imaging, Windows Autopilot, and automated software deployment workflows preferred.
  • Understanding of PowerShell and/or Bash scripting for automation preferred.
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Group Policies preferred., Maintains emotional control under stress. Prolonged use of computer. Repetitive hand motions. Frequent standing, and walking; moderate bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Exposure to cold and refrigerated areas
