Job description

Our client, a leading Government Systems Integrator, is in need of a Top Secret Cleared Network Systems Engineer for an initial 12 month contract onsite in Fort Meade, MD. The Network Systems Engineer will be providing network operations and engineering sustainment support to a mission critical IP messaging and communications transport network. The Network Systems Engineer will be responsible for network integration, testing, security and implementation configuration support, collaborate with Architecture teams to define / continuously improve STIG compliant configuration baselines, etc.

Requirements

Candidates must have an active Top Secret Clearance.
At least 7 years of overall experience.
Must have one of the following certs, CCNP, CCDP, CCSP, Security +.
Experience deploying, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routing, switching and firewall devices.
Strong understanding of IP network / subnet addressing.
Troubleshooting experience with MLPS, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.

Desired Skills:

Ability to travel up to 10% OCONUS travel.
Experience with change, configuration and performance management NetOps concepts.

Benefits & conditions

We offer excellent benefits and compensation packages. The expected hourly rate range for this role is $43 - 64/ hr. The posted range is an estimate. The actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.
