Job description
This is an Information Assurance Specialist (ISSO) position at the Global Simulation Capability, National Simulation Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS in support of the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations., * Identify and quickly troubleshoot problems on federate systems (co-located and at remote sites), RTI infrastructure software, client system software and networking.
- Serve as a manager of the JLCCTC Federation and as a communications hub for multiple simultaneous events.
- Advise government representatives on technical recommendations and timelines with regards to JLCCTC capabilities.
- Ensure all exercise databases are complete, accurate, functional and on time.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum and Preferred Requirements/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
- 5 yrs. experience within the past 10 years, planning simulation exercise architectures, supervising implementation of communication systems, and integrating Army MCIS in support of distributed exercises.
- 5 yrs. experience supporting like sized IA teams and projects.
- 4 yrs. experience in information security, particularly in roles that involve securing sensitive or classified information systems.
- 4 yrs. experience as an ISSO (IA) providing systems administration and security for JLCCTC UE, WARSIM, other MCIS and simulation systems, JLCCTC RM, TCSP, and any other cross-domain security devices that function with the SECRET and TS SCI enclaves.
- Knowledge and understanding in providing CSSM for UE to monitor, operate, and oversee GSC JLCCTC RM, TCSP, and any other cross-domain security devices that function with the SECRET and TS SCI classification.
- Knowledge and familiarity with DoD security standards and regulations such as NIST, FISMA, and RMF.
- Experience and proficiency in security technologies and tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies; experience conducting security risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, and managing overall security risks to information systems.
- DoD IAM II certified.
