Job description
As a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in marrying design creativity with an in-depth understanding of CNC programming. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to conceptualize and develop innovative designs.
- Leveraging your design skills and CAD expertise to create precise technical drawings, models, and prototypes.
- Immersing yourself with CNC programming to effectively and efficiently run our tube laser, flat laser, and press brake.
- Work closely with our production team to ensure seamless translation of design intent into manufacturing reality.
- Researching and staying ahead of industry trends to infuse your designs with fresh perspectives.
- Continuously upskilling and mastering CAD and CNC techniques, contributing to our organization’s technological advancement.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Teamwork?, To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, including the ability to generate parametric models and detailed drawings for internal and external use such as fabrication drawings, BOMs, and material takeoffs.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, an eye for detail, and an understanding of design principles.
- Familiarity with CNC machines and CNC programming or an openness to learn with provided training.
- Proficiency in productivity tools such as Monday and the Microsoft Suite such as SharePoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective team collaboration.
- Exceptional multitasking ability, managing diverse tasks simultaneously.
- Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions meticulously.
- A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to work collaboratively.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and production processes.
