Senior Data Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest data from a variety of internal and external sources.
• Build, enhance, and optimize ETL processes to improve data quality, accessibility, and performance.
• Contribute to data modeling initiatives and data warehouse development.
• Monitor and troubleshoot existing data pipelines, identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Automate manual data processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of enterprise data.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that support business objectives.
• Develop and maintain reports and data extracts as needed.
• Assist with data governance initiatives, including cataloging and classifying data assets.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support data requests related to audits, compliance, or regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior team members and promote data engineering best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL development.
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL processes and data integration solutions.
• Knowledge of database design principles and data modeling methodologies. Experience with Data Vault is a plus.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting SSIS packages.
• Experience integrating data through APIs, event-driven architecture, or messaging platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools is preferred.
• Industry experience within insurance or financial services is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
