Senior Director, IT Infrastructure and Operations

• Responsible for operational efficiency and reliability of core systems; sets standards for the systems environment
• Establish and maintain productive vendor relationships including negotiating and managing contract terms
• Influence IT team and staff, business unit and other functional group leaders acting as credible representative of business functions/processes being supported
• Advise on emerging technologies that should be integrated and/ or introduced to ensure IT capabilities respond to the needs of the enterprise’s business strategy
• Participate in development and actively manage the annual operating and capital expenditure budget
• Participate in IT strategic planning ensuring alignment with business strategy
• Responsible for planning, maintaining and testing the disaster recovery plan and implementation
• Protection of IT systems including network, infrastructure, and all other areas of IT. Also the securing of information assets, customer data, financial information, and other critical information
• Manage, coach, and mentor Operations, Service Management, and Infrastructure managers
• Manage performance metrics to ensure that technology investments deliver value to the enterprise
• Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities, and performance management processes
• Build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies
• Communicate plans and progress to senior management on a regular basis

• Frequently communicate with peers, supervisors, third parties, and other employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions.

• Occasionally attend meetings in buildings outside corporate office and at off-site locations with various internal conditions, and requiring travel in various external conditions.

• Travel domestically as necessary.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of relevant experience in and at least five years of experience in large, cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders
• 10+ years of experience in designing and maintaining IT infrastructure and network
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning
• Formal IT service management training and 3+ years of experience of managing IT service delivery using an IT service management methodology such as ITIL
• Experience working with C-Level officials on budget forecasting and management
• 5+ years progressive experience in the areas of personnel, project, and process management
