Job description

The Enhanced Client Verification Team is seeking a Senior Specialist in Software Development and Engineering to work within a dynamic Agile Scrum Team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and high-performance Java-based web services that support business-critical integration projects., * Implementation of new features ensuring they align with best practices, Schwab standards, and project goals.

Writing well-designed, clean, maintainable, testable, efficient code using the Springboot framework.
Optimizing existing systems for performance, scalability, resiliency, and security.
Collaborating with various cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Analyzing and investigating problems with software solutions and documenting the results of their investigations.
Performing maintenance of software and correcting defects identified during the maintenance process.
Mentoring junior developers by sharing knowledge and providing technical guidance.
Conducting code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure quality deliverables.
Staying up to date with emerging technologies and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 4+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java and related frameworks
Extensive knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and front-end/back-end integration (4+ years)
Knowledge in modern software development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and test automation (4+ years)
Experience with writing Splunk queries and developing monitoring Dashboards within Splunk (3+ years)
Experience with TDD practices and writing integration tests in Cucumber (4+ years)
Experience working with Mongo and SQL Databases (2+ years)
Experience developing Avro Kafka schemas for event streaming platforms (2+ years)
