As our new Production Engineer , you will be providing technical design, support, and management of Factory Product Variants (FPVs) and Configure to Order (CTO) sales orders within our Customer Service Unit (CSU) Engineering team - guiding each order from submittal through final shipment while collaborating with Sales, Application Engineers, and Operations. What you will be doing:

As a key part of the CSU Engineering team, you’ll create impact by Driving product excellence and customer satisfaction by delivering custom-engineered solutions while supporting Grundfos’s Ignite ‘27 strategy and Win in the US initiatives.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Prepare product engineering data and compile technical customer submittal packages through our CRM service request tool in close collaboration with CSSC

  • Process and manage special orders requiring custom design, analysis, and testing - creating drawings, managing Bills of Material (BOMs), and ensuring routing accuracy

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Quality to ensure lead times and customer requirements are met on custom sales orders

  • Manage the Engineering Change Master (ECM) process, clearly communicating change impacts on product, inventory, and affected departments

  • Provide engineering calculations for bearing loads, thrust loads, and stress analysis to ensure structural integrity of components and validate product performance

  • Interface with Manufacturing Engineering on new designs for optimum cost, manufacturability, and ease of assembly while maintaining engineering integrity of assigned product lines

Requirements

Above all, you are a detail-oriented mechanical engineer with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for solving complex product challenges in a manufacturing environment. We would also imagine that you have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent experience in pump applications

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role

  • Proficiency in CATIA or AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport for periodic domestic and international travel

It is a plus if you also:

  • Have experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment

  • Have knowledge of ISO 9001 standards

  • Have expert knowledge of pumping applications and custom-engineered product design, Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Benefits & conditions

The salary range for this position is $75,300 to $110,592 per year. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
