Remote - Senior Software Engineer

Build rule-based automation that reduces hours of manual data curation currently performed by PhD scientists.

• Work closely with scientists, engineering, and product teams.

• Design the foundation for future AI and machine learning capabilities.

• Support Phase 1 rule-based automation while preparing the platform for future AI-powered predictions.

• Influence product and technical direction.

• Mentor engineers and elevate engineering best practices.

Must-Haves

• 5+ years software engineering experience

• Strong C# / .NET background

• Cloud architecture experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

• Experience building scalable cloud-native applications

• Rule-based systems experience

• Machine Learning (ML) experience

• Agentic AI / AI-assisted development experience

• Experience integrating AI or LLM capabilities into products

• Experience guiding architecture and technical direction

Hands-on development background Plusses

• LangChain

• Semantic Kernel

• MCP

• Scientific software experience

• Biotechnology / Life Sciences experience

• Data visualization experience

• Platform modernization experience

• Front-end experience (TypeScript, modern web frameworks)
