Job description
Release Planning Coordination
- Develop maintain and manage release calendars schedules and timelines.
- Coordinate with Development QA Operations and Business teams to ensure release readiness.
- Lead release readiness meetings and facilitate stakeholder alignment.
- Communicate release status risks and dependencies across teams and leadership.
- Document release processes configurations and best practices to drive standardization and continuous improvement.
Deployment Execution
- Manage CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps Github Octopus Dpeloy.
- Provide build and deployment support for both development and production systems.
- Validate release packages prior to deployment and ensure rollback and contingency plans are in place.
- Execute and oversee production deployments with a focus on stability and minimal disruption.
Post Release Support Continuous Improvement
- Monitor post release performance and proactively resolve deployment related issues.
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to change management and governance processes eg. CRs approvals audit requirements.
- Drive improvements in automation release efficiency and deployment reliability.
Requirements
We are seeking a seasoned Release Engineer with strong DevOps expertise to lead and coordinate software releases across multiple environments. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth reliable and timely delivery of applications through effective release planning automation and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in CICD pipelines deployment automation and enterprise release coordination along with the ability to drive consistency governance and operational excellence across the release lifecycle., * Proven experience as a Release Management DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CICD pipeline development.
- Deep understanding of software release management processes and deployment strategies.
- Experience with automation tools scripting and multi-environment deployments.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with change management and governance processes in enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in largescale enterprise or regulated environments.
- Background in incident management and production support.
